Experienced Service Director, Auto/Motorcycle

Baton Rouge & Hammond Harley-Davidson are looking for an aggressive, take charge service director to lead a busy, expanding service departments. Candidates must have 5+ years motorcycle or auto service operations experience with proven leadership and ability to run a large shop or multiple locations with a high level of quality output and customer satisfaction.

The Service Director will be responsible for achieving maximum profitability of the service department while focusing on customer retention. To achieve this, he or she must effectively lead and manage personnel; have a strong knowledge of the service market, and posses an in-depth understanding of how the service department affects other departments’ numbers and processes.

QUALIFICATIONS & JOB REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years of experience as a service adviser or service manager
Motorcycle background preferred but not required
Harley-Davidson enthusiast preferred but not required
Possess sound judgment and decision making ability
Experience with Lightspeed NXT and/or Tallon ES computer service, a plus
Current, valid motorcycle license

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Service Department Operations
Provide high quality motorcycle service
Maximize productivity levels of service technicians, managers, and writers
Monitor billing, warranty and internal repair orders
Familiarize yourself with all facets of computer system
Ensure employees keep a clean, efficient, and orderly department
Manage profitability of department

Customer Service
Maintain a high degree of customer satisfaction
Greet customers immediately, in a courteous and friendly manner
Handle customer complaints reasonably
Instill trust and confidence in all customers
Give special attention to repeat orders
Grow the volume of service work
Develop promotional campaigns
Maintain efficiency reports on Service Technicians, managers, and writers
Review reports with Dealer Principal
Develop monthly and annual goals with Dealer Principal

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Contribution Pay Plan based on performance, 100k+
