Overview

Hisun Motors Corp., USA is seeking a National Sales Manager for our growing dealer sales team.  This position is responsible for managing our Business Development Managers and District Sales Managers, within a designated region, and collaborating with internal teams to aggressively develop the Powersports dealer sales division.

We are looking for passionate individuals who are motivated to succeed and will support the growth of Hisun within the Powersports and similar industries.

Candidate must live in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex as this position will work on-site at our corporate office in McKinney, TX.

Essential Roles and Functions:

·         Lead team of inside and outside sales representatives to achieve sales targets.

·         Hire, train, and develop an effective team.

·         Collaborate with sales and management teams to help shape and execute operational standards, dealer programs, and processes.

·         Find areas of improvement to increase performance and efficiency across sales team and dealer partners.

·         Mediate and resolve any customer concerns or escalations that require additional leadership support.

·         Deliver exceptional customer experience to all dealer partners.

·         Maintain consistent call and travel schedule with outside sales team (District Sales Managers) and all dealers within the designated region.

·         Collaborate with team to determine sales strategy, secure orders, prospect, follow-up, and support all sales and aftersales related functions.

·         Work with team to maintain and expand the company’s database of current dealers and prospects.

·         Manage assigned geography performance against agreed targets and budgets; develop quarterly and annual strategic business plan for achieving budgeted sales targets.

·         Manage administrative reporting and analysis required to track assigned geography performance.

·         Present the HISUN brand to dealer principals and staff in a confident, professional manner.

·         Follow-up with existing customers via visits, telephone and email; cross-sell, and up-sell.

·         Articulate product/service features and benefits, programs, pricing and credit terms to dealers.

·         Coordinate team and customer training as necessary.

·         Attend periodic sales training, show expos, and dealer events.

·         Accurately communicate brand identity and corporate initiatives with potential customers.

·         Successfully build and maintain exceptional, long-lasting relationships with customers.

·         Requires monthly overnight travel (20-25%).

Education, Experience, and Skills:

·         High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

·         3 – 5 years previous powersports field sales experience in similar role including sales, account development, and customer service (OEM experience preferred).

·         Demonstrated ability to inspire, influence, and hold teams accountable to achieve a common goal.

·         Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

·         Experience with Salesforce and SAP is a plus.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·         Proven analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.

·         Ability to overcome objections.

·         Ability to use sound judgement and calculated decision making.

·         Excellent and efficient time management skills.

·         Thorough understanding of dealer financing, floor plan, and sales programs.

·         Ability to drive all-terrain and utility-terrain vehicles.

·         Must have the ability to drive a pickup truck pulling an enclosed trailer with capacity to hold up to 2 demo units.

The National Sales Manager is a key member of the management team and the head of dealer sales for HISUN in the United States, the National Sales Manager will report directly to the VP of Sales of HISUN.

The National Sales Manager will have full sales and network operations responsibility for the United States.

He or she will ensure that the organization is meeting retail, wholesale, revenue, and profitability goals by strategically leading and performing high-level sales duties personally through a skillful hands-on approach, while also providing focused direction and guidance to the field sales team, and the brand development managers. The National Sales Manager will have 9 direct reports. He or she will be expected to be a strong mentor to those on his or her sales teams. The National Sales Manager will motivate and drive his or her teams, creating cohesiveness and offering support, while harnessing friendly spirited competition so that sales managers and the organization reach their respective goals.

An entrepreneurial sales leader with a proven track record of exceeding sales goals and setting strategy, the National Sales Manager will be tasked with developing strategic sales plans and implementing them to enhance market share, grow sales as well as lead volume in the markets in which HISUN competes.

The National Sales Manager will be based at HISUN headquarters in McKinney, Texas. The National Sales Manager will be expected to be on the road between 50% to 70% of the time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Internal Sales Team Management & Development

To provide sales leadership and network management through internal training on sales techniques and process implementation.

To direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales programs.

To build relationships at all levels, ensuring consistent communication between regional teams and information flow occurs between the HISUN HQ and the Field Sales Team.

To help the team with further knowledge regarding sales processes within dealerships, Retail Sales Development, finance and inventory, and delivery processes, as well as support new Dealer Development.

Enterprise Sales Leadership & Organizational Implementation

To lead the delivery of short, medium, and long-term sales targets

To review sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly.

To review market analyses to determine customer needs and competitive threats.

To increase revenue and profitability in each sales rep’s territory

To develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate management goals, helping achieve the organizational goal.

To increase the company’s market presence and share in fast-growing markets and promote its reputation for client satisfaction.

To help establish long range sales goals, objectives, sales work plans, and policies

To use knowledge of store design and point-of-sales to increase unit and accessories sales at dealers

Administration and Management of Sales Efforts with Marketing

To help create motivating sales campaigns to drive the achievement of our sales goals

To work with the marketing team to continually develop relationships and ensure appropriate funding is spent on advertising and sales leads to have the most impact on sales and best represent the HISUN brand as well as the forward direction of the organization

Cross-Functional Team Leadership

To be able to be proactive, work with and across function areas, and serve as a meaningful organizational contributor.

To collaborate with the organization’s executive team to ensure that sales objectives are being executed in accordance with overall corporate and company goals.

To provide monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasting reviews to VP of Sales.

Regularly collaborate with the VP of Sales and Chief Financial Officer on sales data and budgets.

To interface with the After Sales Manager and Customer Service Manager, where appropriate, adopting new strategies in areas based on obtained data analytics and feedback

To find ways to do things more efficiently, quickly, and identify and implement process improvements in the sales environment.

 

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION

A university or college degree is preferred.

A successful track record with 3 years of direct sales management experience required.

Powersports Industry experience is highly preferred.

Experience as an outside sales representative is favored.

A demonstrated track record in sales & business development leadership, within the motorcycle, automotive, and/or powersports industry.

One who has a deep professional understanding of dealers and the regulatory and legal matters associated with operating in such environments.

Experience creating greater diversity in dealership networks and working with dealers to increase sales and lead performance.

Professional experience in raising brand awareness and performing dealer and market research, i.e., being able to evaluate the positioning of a company and subsequently what it may require to increase revenue and market penetration

A proven ability to provide accurate forecasting.

A demonstrated emphasis on developing strong partner relationships.
