System Analyst (Analytics Engineer)

Overview

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a System Analyst (Analytics Engineer) to join our Demand Chain team in Kennesaw, GA. This role is responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating YMUS Demand Chain initiatives in collaboration with various Business Units to positively impact the following metrics:  Customer response time, Overall supply/demand lead time, dealer fill rates, working capital, etc.  This candidate will lead consistency and integrity of data being generated from the operations which will be used by the organization in data analytics and information system.

 

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

Engineering:

·         Understand/identify the key drivers of businesses and operations

·         Build and maintain data models which support performance dashboard

·         Ensure data integrity between the Business Units with consistent definition of underlying data

·         Develop and maintain documentation of data policy

·         Lead transformation to a data-driven decision-making organization

·         Train Business Unit teams on use and understanding of analytical tools and results

·         At times, perform data analysis as needed

 

Business Acumen:

·         Provide insights into operation, and provide ideas on specific strategic improvements

·         Communicate the insights and findings effectively by simplifying and summarizing complex matters into an easy-to-understand visual presentation

·         Understand the People, Process, Technology aspects of the operations and improve on overall efficiency by balancing the three dimensions

·         Address team members’ concerns, identify and troubleshoot inefficiencies, and brainstorm plausible & creative solutions

·         Develop solution work plan that can be executed in phases, and monitor its progress

 

Qualifications:

·         4-year technical degree in engineering, science, finance, business, supply chain, mathematics or related field

·         Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Data Analytics or Analytics Engineer role in a customer facing or business process environment

·         Demonstrated application of project management skills; ability to influence team towards win-win outcomes

·         Proven track record of success in driving change through an organization

·         Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with applied experience working in a cross-functional team environment

·         Capable of working with minimal direction and supervision

·         Preferred: Project Management Professional Certification or similar work experience
