Regional Sales Manager | Moto | Eastern U.S.
Reports to: U.S. Sales Director

Position Summary
The Regional Sales Manager | Eastern U.S. is responsible for driving sustainable, profitable growth across the Eastern half of the United States for the Moto channel. This leader will manage key regional accounts, support national retail partners and independent sales reps, and execute TLD’s strategic initiatives around margin health, retail presentation, MAP compliance, and new business development.
This role requires a data-driven, highly accountable, field-based leader who excels in relationship development, sales forecasting, and territory optimization. The Regional Manager is a key conduit between the market and the U.S. Sales Director, ensuring brand consistency, commercial excellence, and regional execution are aligned.
Key Responsibilities
Territory Leadership & Revenue Growth
- Own revenue targets, forecasting, and commercial execution for all accounts in the Eastern U.S.
- Drive quality revenue generation with a focus on margin, account health, and sustainable sell-through.
- Identify regional “must-win” markets and execute account-acquisition strategies to grow Moto’s presence.
- Account Management
Manage and grow key regional accounts, including high-volume moto retailers, specialty shops, e-commerce partners, and premium independents.
Ensure MAP compliance, account profitability, and aligned merchandising standards.
Support national key accounts with regional execution, product launches, and promotional alignment.
Retail Execution & Merchandising
- Ensure retailers adhere to premium retail presentation, including displays, fixtures, and in-store storytelling.
- Oversee the placement and ROI of TLD retail displays and premium merchandising assets.
- Drive in-store sell-through via staff training, product clinics, and event activation.
Forecasting, Reporting & Analytics
- Own territory forecasting for prebooks (fall, spring) and in-season replenishment.
- Analyze sell-thru, regional market trends, and inventory alignment to support accurate demand planning.
- Provide data-driven territory insights to the U.S. Sales Director and cross-functional teams.
Channel Integrity & Compliance
- Collaborate on MAP enforcement and third-party marketplace policies across the territory.
- Manage account segmentation, classification, and apply TLD’s account health frameworks.
- Partner with finance on credit, terms, and risk mitigation, as needed.
Brand & Event Activation
- Represent TLD at regional races, consumer events, dealer shows, and industry activations.
- Support the execution of national launches and athlete-driven marketing initiatives in the region.
Independent Sales Rep Support
- Communicate with, coach, and evaluate independent sales reps to ensure consistent performance, territory coverage, and brand representation.
- Provide monthly touchpoints on KPIs, forecasting, pipelines, and booking programs.
- Identify territory gaps as needed to support TLD’s growth model.
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of sales experience in premium consumer goods, preferably in motocross, MTB, outdoor, action sports, or performance apparel/gear.
- Experience working with or managing independent sales reps and/or multi-state territories.
- Strong analytical and sales forecasting skills (Excel/Sheets fluency required).
- Proven success in premium retail channels, including specialty and big-box key accounts.
- Deep understanding of margin structures, MAP policies, and retail program economics.
- Ability to travel 50–70% across the Eastern U.S.
- A passion for Moto, MTB, or the outdoor lifestyle is highly preferred.

Territory Coverage — Eastern Region
This role covers the whole Eastern U.S. territory, including:
ME, VT, NH, MA, CT, RI, NY, NJ, PA, DE, MD, VA, WV, NC, SC, GA, FL, TN, KY, OH, IN, IL, MI, WI, MN, IA, MO, AR.
Candidates must reside within this region, preferably near a major airport hub such as Atlanta, Charlotte, Philadelphia, Indianapolis, or similar, to support efficient travel.
