M-Spec, the Performance Product and Services side of MILLENNIUM TECHNOLOGIES has an immediate opening for an  Engine Technician!                              
Chief duties are to process engines that are received for rebuilding/repair and are as follows:
Inspect engines upon receipt and document any external damage and missing parts
Review service sales order to insure that the correct work will be provided to the customer expectations.
Teardown engine, clean and inspect all parts
Produce a thorough and complete list of all parts required including part numbers
Produce a complete list of all repair services required, entering them into an estimate for the customer
Provide completed and accurate lists to the sales staff for customer contact and approval
Thoroughly clean and prepare all parts that will be reused
Place parts that require other Millennium Technologies services properly in the system
Place all cleaned parts in the engine storage container clearly labeled as to customer name, order #, etc.
Assemble engine in a professional manner, quality checking every step of the assembly process.
Provide the sales staff with any particular notes that should be provided to the customer
Other duties as directed by the Technology Manager may include:
Cylinder and head porting work and repairs
Lathe and mill operation
TIG/MIG welding
Various duties to assist other departments within the Millennium Technologies group of companies.
Service work on complete customer motorcycles
Assembly and service work on dynamometer test vehicles and engines
 
Scope of duties:
While the main focus will be off-road motorcycles and ATV/SUV other vehicles and engines can be expected occasionally.
Street driven motorcycles and racing applications
V-Twin applications
Automotive
 
The desired applicant for this position should process:
1.A complete set of hand tools to perform the normally expected duties as described above
2.The basic special tools that are normally required. (pullers, splitters, etc.)
A familiarity with mechanics and engine/vehicle repair so as to require minimal supervision
Self-motivated
Dependability, report for work on time and put in the agreed upon hours each day
Good problem solving ability
The ability to function in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks in process.
