Overview
This is a newly created, full-time position working with our Parts and Accessories Division located at our Brea Headquarters. Traveling nationally about 50% of the time, this person will be responsible for promoting and increasing sales of the Parts, Accessories and Ecstar brand products through trade shows, events and focus group coordination. Will work closely with both Motorcycle and Marine Sales Divisions to increase Parts, Accessories and Ecstar product knowledge and sales with dealers and update dealers on new activities, promotions and available product. Responsible for building, maintaining and facilitating an on-going, robust dealer focus group for the Parts and Accessories Department product lines.
- Will build and facilitate a newly created focus group for the Parts and Accessories sales team. Schedule, plan and lead dealer focus group. Recruit and recommend continued focus group membership, coordinate meetings, provide management summaries, facilitate follow up and problem solving discussions, implement action plans and track results.
- Travel to and actively participate in marine and motorcycle trade shows and events throughout the U.S. Responsible for engaging and educating trade show participants on the brand. Work closely with Parts & Accessories sales managers to keep everyone informed of details regarding these events.
- Report on analytics of the trade shows. Responsible for initial setup and tear down at each event.
- Travel to marine and motorcycle dealerships to maintain and improve relationships. Includes updating dealers on current bulletins, ensure dealers take advantage of current promotions (Oil, Fall Rigging, PSSO, PTSO), improve floor displays, training and providing dealer with YTD P&A sales activity.
- Coordinate dealer activities with Motorcycle and Marine field sales staff.
- Provide marine and motorcycle field sales staff with current promotions, bulletins and dealer updates as needed.
- Analyze focus groups results, sales results and other departmental activities.
- Produce a variety of reports to quantify and track results and make recommendations.
- Liaise with external vendors to execute promotional events
- Continuously updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading trade publications, attending events, learning new products, etc.
Job Requirements
- 3 plus years’ experience in marketing, sales and/or event promotion plus Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications or similar experience/education
- Experience facilitating teams and exceptional interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel nationally 50% of the work year
- Able to take initiative while also working collaboratively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Solid understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Highly motivated and able to work independently
- Well organized, detail oriented, deadline drive
