Overview
Wild Prairie Harley-Davidson® needs an experienced service manager to drive our high volume dealership forward. Direct and support approx. 20 team members using excellent communication and coaching abilities. It is important to exhibit strong prioritization and organization skills, be process driven, and have proven ability to lead in a rapidly changing environment.
- Monitor retail and internal work flow on a daily basis
- Ensure all staff adhere to established policies and procedures
- Ensure proper training in warranty processes, WO generation, technician documentation and labor, and final documentation to customer
- Maintain a fix it right the first time attitude
- Assure prompt attention is given to customers and calls are made and returned in a timely matter
- Coordinate with the Parts Manager to ensure parts inventory is adequate to support service needs
- Balance scheduling, staffing, work available and budget
- Determine on and off-site required training and use established resources to meet the goals
- Administer department incentive plans, pay rates, merit increases, and performance reviews
- Analyze business trends and recommend changes and marketing promotions
- Administer and document employee coaching and disciplinary needs
- Oversee safety in all areas including but limited to: fork truck training, DOT driver certification, hazardous waste materials, and inspections and permits as required for the Company
- Sponsor inter-departmental and sister company cooperation, bolstering a team atmosphere
- Oversee building maintenance operations including required service on all vehicles, DOT adherence and insurance concerns
Advanced knowledge of Harley-Davidson® parts and accessories, motorcycle repair, and 4+ years related experience is highly preferred. Previous service management experience within the Motorsports Industry will be favorably considered.
