Service Manager

Harley-Davidson of Asheville is a leading dealership in its district for new Harley-Davidson motorcycle sales. With a facility spanning over 50,000 square feet on 8 acres and a service department with plenty of room for growth, we are looking for a top level service manager.

Our Service Manager will have the highest expectations both personally and of the service team.

Daily expectations:

• Manage 5-7 technicians, 2 service writers and 2 porters.
• Direct daily workflow of scheduled customer repairs, sales department needs, and traveler breakdowns.
• Operate as a service writer on a daily basis: field incoming phone calls, schedule daily work using our computerized scheduler, dispatch work to technicians, and make follow up calls to customers.
• Administer all warranty, recalls and service bulletins with OEM.
• Work with insurance companies on damage estimates and claims.

Requirements:

• Management experience in a motorcycle or automotive dealership.
• Extensive knowledge of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, especially late models.
• Motorcycle endorsement and ability to easily operate heavy weight motorcycles.
• Must be an expert using a dealer management system; Talon experience is preferred and must be able to type.
