Job Title:                     Production Graphic/Industrial Designer

Job Summary:
The Production Graphic/Industrial Designer works with the Designer Director, other shop staff, and clients to conceptualize and create renderings/drawings to support motorcycle customization, parts and apparel, and other product production operations. Delivers an exceptional customer experience.
 
Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design custom paint schemes, motorcycle builds, and other products/items, as required
• Cut/lay vinyl for paint projects
• Conceptualize and design parts for manufacture, including responding to prototype requests, providing evaluation and fit stage approvals throughout the design process
• Motorcycle and other project assembly, as needed
• Perform responsibilities in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to individual and team production schedules
• Collaborate with Design team and suppliers to optimize product value engineering to meet margin and schedule objectives
• Assist in establishing brand direction, assessing market trends and developing silhouette trend boards
• Generate tech packs to support apparel production
• Develop and execute clear, detailed technical kits to support product development
• Other duties, as assigned

 
Qualifications & Job Requirements:

• Minimum of three years of industrial and graphic design experience
• Proficient in the use of Adobe Illustrator CC, Adobe Photoshop CC and 3D design programs (e.g., Rhinoceros or Solid Works) required; experience with other Adobe products preferred
• Prior customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge and experience with motorcycles and other products serviced by the shop. (Preferred, but not required)

 
 
Physical Demands:

• The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
• Occasionally required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Occasionally requires the ability to balance and push a 600+ lb. motorcycle.

 
Working Conditions:

• Usually indoors, however, outdoor work may be required when reviewing customer requirements on a bike
• Potential exposure to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials or other toxic materials commonly found in a motor vehicle service/customization setting.
• Occasional exposure to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles.
