Payroll / HR Administrator
Riverside Harley-Davidson is seeking a Payroll & HR Administrator to work in the areas of payroll, human resources and accounting. Riverside Harley-Davidson is one of five Harley-Davidson dealerships in a group operated through common ownership with nearly 500 employees combined. Summary of Position:
This position requires maintaining payroll records for dealership employees, leading the on-boarding process for new hires and performing general accounting and HR work in the following areas:
- Compensation, Benefits, and time keeping
- Sales department tracking and reporting
- Safety / OSHA / Workman’s Compensation
- General Payroll and Accounting
The position is also responsible for compiling and updating payroll information for multiple employee groups using complex Excel workbooks.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Compilation of payroll information (hours, commissions, bonuses, rate changes, garnishments, etc.) needed to process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls.
- Maintain employee payroll files and keep pay plan documentation up to date.
- Interpret new or existing incentive pay plans and incorporate all compensation variables into Excel sheets for complete and accurate calculations, including statement output suitable for distribution to employees.
- Review, analyze and check payroll reports for accuracy and make necessary adjustments or corrections as needed.
- Assist in the new hire orientation process and gather and verify new hire paperwork is complete.
- Submit payroll changes daily to Payroll Administrator (i.e. new hires, rate changes, status changes, time off requests, etc.)
- Assist PEO and Director of Human Resources with annual open enrollment process, investigations and KPA Administration.
- Act as liaison for employees on payroll related matters and questions.
- Accounting and accounts payable work related to payroll matters.
- Other general accounting work as needed by dealership Controller.
- Assists in the Exit Interview process.
- Participates in the recruitment efforts for all levels of employees.
- Assists in the performance appraisal process.
- Special projects as needed by management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Associates Degree with an accounting or business emphasis, and or at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
- PHR is preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Strong Word and Outlook experience.
- Advanced proficiency using payroll and accounting software programs. HR Pyramid experience a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to troubleshoot issues.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Knowledge of federal, state and local payroll tax compliance.
- Experience complying with DOL and state wage and hour regulations.
