MANAGER, CUSTOMER SERVICE & SALES (PARTS, GARMENTS, & ACCESSORIES)
 
KTM North America – a subsidiary of KTM, a global leader in the off-road motorcycle competition segment and developer and producer of street as well as off-road motorcycles – has an exciting opportunity for a MGR, CUSTOMER SERVICE (PG&A) located in MURRIETA, CA.  
 
SUMMARY
Under general supervision, the PG&A Customer Service and Sales Manager is responsible for incoming dealer PG&A customer service calls, market development, sales planning, budgeting, controlling sales expenses, sales and network forecasts, product market share, and achieving all sales department PG&A objectives. Works closely with all sales department staff to ensure that the Company products and services are being represented in a quality manner.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  • Participates in the development and management of PG&A sales programs and provides oversight and execution.
  • Provides sales reporting to executive management and field sales staff.
  • Works with Marketing Department on coordination of PG&A marketing efforts.
  • Provides associated company departments with relevant market information, strategic pricing analysis and recommendations.
  • Works with field sales staff to coordinate PG&A sales efforts at industry events.
  • Coordinate PG&A data with Dealer Management and Web companies.
  • Responsible for PG&A Customer Service / phone sales staff handling in-coming dealer inquiries and out-going sales calls.
  • Works with management in development and adjustments of business plans, policies, and departmental direction.
  • Provides guidance and develops and empowers direct reports.
  • Responsible for supervisory duties including hiring, firing, scheduling, timecard approvals, performance evaluations, coaching, training, disciplinary actions, task assignment, goal setting and team meetings/communications.     EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Generally requires a minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in similar role in the motorcycle industry. Prior management experience strongly preferred. Required proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:  Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in related field required.

    Internal:  Dealer Development department, Local/Regional Sales staff, Marketing department, and other sales administrative staff
    External: Dealers, vendors/contractors as needed
     
    JUDGEMENT/REASONING ABILITY:  Ability to recognize discrepancies and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment, poise and diplomacy.  Requires ability to use judgment and reasoning skills, and determine when issues need to be escalated.
