Overview
Under general supervision, the Marketing Assistant for Social Media is responsible for assisting and supporting the marketing team in its daily operational activities around social media. The marketing assistant will be responsible for creating and administering content on all social media platforms for multiple brands.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for administering content on all social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, to build an audience and ensure customer engagement.
- Monitors site metrics, monitors reader comments and messages and redirects to the appropriate department (such as customer service).
- Generates reports on social media activities and best practices.
- Coordinates across many departments for creating a content plan and building monthly calendars.
- Coordinates and executes social media postings for multiple brands across the company and on multiple channels, working across multiple departments.
- Assists in the creation of social media advertising campaigns and execution through various platforms.
- Will later develop into creating project definitions for submission to creative agency.
- Uploads marketing material to online libraries, press center and social media accounts.
- Updates and maintains the marketing department’s documentation and consumer databases.
- Assists in the production and distribution of marketing materials and literature.
- Under supervision of The Marketing Manager coordinates the production and distribution of a variety of marketing communications.
- Assists in preparation of marketing department special presentations, slides and other decks.
- Contributes ideas for improving marketing standards and processes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Generally requires a minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in marketing team environment. Motorcycle industry experience is very strongly preferred. Required proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Social Media Management systems and other areas of digital marketing such as Google.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in marketing or related field preferred.

JUDGEMENT/REASONING ABILITY: Ability to recognize discrepancies and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment, poise and diplomacy. Requires ability to use judgment and reasoning skills, and determine when issues need to be escalated.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise in the work environment is usually moderate. Other factors are:
