DEALER ORIENTATION SPECIALIST HUSQVARNA – MURRIETA, CA
Husqvarna Motorcycles North America has an exciting opportunity for a DEALER ORIENTATION SPECIALIST located in MURRIETA, CA.
SUMMARY
Under general supervision, the Dealer Orientation Specialist is responsible for assisting dealers during the orientation process with the objective of becoming an effective dealer. Promotes a high quality dealer orientation program and set up while providing guidance and support during the on-boarding process. Assists dealers in providing a premium experience for customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completes new dealer orientation/on-boarding with each dealer during their first 90 days. Conducts follow up with dealer during interval periods at 30, 60, 90 days. Travels to dealerships to provide face to face service and support throughout process.
- Acts as liaison between District Sales Managers and dealers on initial set up and new dealer establishment. Acts as main point of contact for dealers during the first 90 days by offering guidance, answering questions, coordinating activities, communicating with other departments such as Marketing and Sales regarding dealer needs, etc.
- Conducts thorough follow through to ensure all orientation/on-boarding steps are completed. Involves communication with and coordinating activities with dealer and all stakeholders.
- In conjunction with various parties, develops training curriculum and related materials to support the new dealer orientation process. Establishes on-boarding process and related systems, tools and policies.
- Facilitates training presentations to new dealers in all aspects of day to day Company business including, but not limited to, visual merchandising, Dealer.net, warranty process, warranty bulletin distribution, financing, PDI/registration, PG&A, sales, products, parts, technical, etc.
- Coordinates XC-1NG diagnostic tool training in conjunction with a representative from the Company’s Technical Services staff.
- Works closely with dealers to facilitate and also participates in various dealer events such as motorcycle demo rides, dealership open houses, product launches, and other promotional events.
- Provides guidance, education and communication to dealers regarding POP (Point of Purchase) setup and current sales promotion awareness. POP setup may include placing merchandising displays and ensuring all items are utilized to Company standards. Sales promotions may include rebate programs, financing programs, incentives, etc.
- Evaluates various success factors regarding status of new dealer progress, identifies issues/roadblocks, and provides feedback to management. Makes recommendations to management for action needed to ensure dealer success.
- Works closely with management and other staff on annual dealer meeting. Performs various tasks onsite to support meeting objectives, deliverables and timelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Generally requires a minimum of one to three (1 – 3) years’ experience in the power sports industry; either for an OEM or at the dealership level. Required proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Must hold a valid Class M Motorcycle license and have experience riding on and off road.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma required. Associates/Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in related field preferred.

JUDGEMENT/REASONING ABILITY: Ability to recognize discrepancies and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment, poise and diplomacy. Requires ability to use judgment and reasoning skills, and determine when issues need to be escalated.
