Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Marketing Research Specialist to join our Motorsport team in Marietta, GA.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Provide our product planning, sales, and marketing teams the insights needed to connect with our ever-changing customer base.
Implement and/or manage quantitative and qualitative market research functions, including web/mail survey research, interviews, focus groups and in-market ethnography
Create detailed research and analysis within focused market areas including customer trends and preferences, Marketing (Customer Communication) and Sales Strategy (Promotion and Price). Market analysis would include new technologies, competition, environmental legislation, and demographic/economic dynamics. Consumer analysis to include new buying trends, preferences, and new usage patterns of current or emerging products.
Provide clear communication and reporting of new trends and findings to appropriate management and teams to support short term and long-term goals.
Lead internal projects by working effectively with the appropriate divisions and team members for successful results.
Collect requests and develop a research strategy for the Motorsport group that falls within the assigned budget for each fiscal year.
Manage all lead data intake generated across multiple platforms for Yamaha Motorsports. This task will require expert knowledge of data management and systems like Domo, SAP Business Objects & Excel to ensure accuracy and cleanliness to support our email and text marketing campaigns, general reporting + conversion reporting needs.
The Research Specialist leads activities of vendor selection, project timelines and manage costs to stay in line with all set budgets.
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in Marketing/Market Research, Statistics, or Business strongly preferred, or equivalent work- related experience
5+ years of experience in market research, strategic planning, product development, or consumer insights
Must be proficient in factor, cluster, conjoint, segmentation analysis and how to implement each
Proficiency in cross-tabulation software, SPSS preferred, survey software and online web survey programming (e.g. Survey Monkey, Qualtrics, mTAB, etc.)
Knowledge and experience with designing analytic plans; analyzing information from multiple sources; developing insight; identifying implications for the business; and presenting in a concise story.
Experience & proficiency in data management using tools like Domo, SAP Business Objects, Excel, Access, Tableau.
Proficiency in all MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Excellent project and vendor management skills
Strong communication and presentation skills
10 – 15% travel required
