Commercial Accounting Supervisor

Overview

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Accounting Supervisor to join our Finance team in Cypress, CA. The Commercial Accounting Supervisor reports to the Asst. Controller. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, general ledger accountability, financial reporting, and other special projects as assigned.

 

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Assists in the preparation of wholesale and lease related asset, liability and capital account entries derived by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data, and reviewing the work product of direct reports.
  Responsible for overseeing the application of all leasing and wholesale payments received (outside of White Clark for wholesale).
  Assists in the development of processes and tools to analyze, reconcile and record activity timely.
  Supervisor, develop and provide guidance to a team of accountants.
  Assists the Assistant Controller with the Company’s monthly and annual close, and any required reporting therein.
  Assists the Assistant Controller with the Company’s annual audited financial statements and related footnotes thereof.
  Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related discipline required.
  5 – 8 years of financial services/captive finance related experience and/or combination of experience and education.
  2+ years supervisory experience preferred.
  Proficient in MS Office suite of products (i.e., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Access etc.).
  Ability to work with and analyze large amounts of data, a plus.
  Ability to work independently, with a high degree of accuracy, in a fast-paced environment.
  Strong organization, interpersonal and project management skills.
  Self-motivated, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
