Willamette Valley Harley-Davidson is a full service Harley-Davidson dealership looking for a knowledgeable and passionate individual to help grow our company through effective and customer-focused leadership of the Parts Department.
The Assistant Parts Manager will be responsible for assisting the Parts Manager in overseeing the operations of the department through inventory management, supervising the performance and ongoing training of its staff, and maintaining an excellent record of positive customer experiences. This position is vital to the success of our dealership.
Job Description:
Review stock orders, maintain needed stock for demand
Supervise and maintain an accurate up-to-date inventory management and control system
Generate and review Inventory reports from Dealer Information System
Provides superior customer service to both internal (Service Department) and external customers
Greet all customers in a timely, courteous, and professional manner
Answer incoming phone calls and respond to emails in a courteous and professional manner
Develop Harley-Davidson parts & accessory knowledge as it pertains to repairs, service, and accessorizing Harley-Davidson motorcycles for the ultimate customer experience
Learn, understand, and utilizing the company’s operating system and its programs to facilitate customer transactions, product research, and inventory maintenance practice
Complete all training programs by required deadlines as assigned by Management
Requirements:
Experience with retail sales and inventory management
Prefer knowledge and experience with servicing of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and other products sold by the dealership, or the demonstrated ability to quickly learn them
Experience with Point-of-Sale and Parts & Service management computer software or the ability to quickly learn due to general knowledge and experience with computers
Excellent communication and collaboration skills as this position interacts regularly with all other departments within the organization
A valid driver’s license and the ability and willingness to obtain a motorcycle endorsement preferred
