Overview

WPS seeks to hire a service-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk from the local Boise area community to join our busy Accounting team. As an A/P Clerk, you will be responsible for compiling, classifying, verifying, and maintaining payables and payment data within Accounts Payable records. Working with vendors daily, this role requires excellent customer service skills, as well as a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Review and verify invoices and check requests
  • Sort, code, and match invoices
  • Set invoices up for payment
  • Enter and upload invoices into system
  • Track expenses and process expense reports
  • Prepare and perform check runs
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
  • Maintain vendor files
  • Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
  • Assist with month end closing
  • Provide supporting documentation for audits
  • Other duties as required

DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS    

  • A minimum of 2 years Accounts Payable or General Accounting experience REQUIRED
  • Expert level user ability in MS Excel, strong user ability in MS Word and Outlook REQUIRED
  • A minimum of 2 years vendor relations experience REQUIRED
  • Experience with PO/AP/Inventory 3-way matching REQUIRED
  • Proven 10-Key by touch and typing speed of 45 WPM REQUIRED
  • Ability to toggle between multiple computer screens REQUIRED
  • Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with an energetic attitude is of utmost importance
  • Highly motivated with ability to complete tasks quickly
  • Possess a sense of personal accountability for assigned duties and take pride in  your work
