TRANSPORT DRIVER – MURRIETA, CA
 
 
Husqvarna Motorcycles North America has an exciting opportunity for a TRANSPORT DRIVER located in MURRIETA, CA.  
 
SUMMARY
 
Under general supervision, the Transport Driver is responsible for providing the highest level of driving service and transporter maintenance. Includes loading, securing and safely transporting motorcycles and equipment to and from race events.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 

• Loads, secures, and safely transports motorcycles and equipment to and from race events by driving Company’s tractor-trailer.
• Works with various team members in the planning of each race event to ensure that the team tractor-trailer is on time at the event.
• Conducts set-up and tear-down tasks in pit area at event location.
• Maintains inside/outside work areas and tools in a clean and appropriate manner.
• Responsible for maintenance, cleanliness and upkeep of the tractor-trailer and any Company owned equipment to maintain safe and reliable driving.
• Maintains parts inventory in the tractor-trailer to assure complete service capability at race events.
• Prepares required driving reports and log books daily. Submits these documents on a monthly basis.
• Responsible for stocking all food and drinks for the race weekend for entire team, as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
   
  EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Generally requires a minimum of one (1) year experience in driving a tractor-trailer. Race team service experience preferred. Requires clean DMV CDL license and knowledge of related DOT/road regulations. Valid motorcycle license is required as well.
  EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:  High school diploma required.

• General knowledge of motorcycle industry
• Knowledge of company product performance and servicing technologies
• Valid vehicle operator license
• Ability to travel extensively and on weekends

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline driven and constantly changing environment
• Flexibility to switch gears with little notice
• Excellent organization skills
• Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines and understand when to escalate potential issues
• Basic math skills
• Must be internal and external customer focused
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to use tact and diplomacy; must be team player
• Must be self-motivated with ability to use own initiative
• Basic cooking skills to support hospitality functions
• Ability to ride a motorcycle proficiently and follow company riding policies

  JUDGEMENT/REASONING ABILITY:  Ability to recognize discrepancies and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment, poise and diplomacy.  Requires ability to use judgment and reasoning skills, and determine when issues need to be escalated.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:  The noise in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.  Other factors are:
