Technical Apparel Designer for Cortech and Tourmaster

Overview

Helmet House, one of the power sports industry's leading helmet and apparel distributors, is in search of a Full-Time Technical Apparel Designer to join our Products Department team. 

The Technical Apparel Designer will work well with the Products team, have a positive attitude, be quality driven, and pay close attention to design details. 

Duties & Responsibilities (Include but Are Not Limited To): 

• Ability to be self-motivated and create technical apparel with strong and leading design direction, focusing on function, innovation and quality, and pay equal attention to the importance of materials, features and fit.
• Ability to create concepts, with complete visual inspiration, with functionality, style and understanding of the consumer base.
• Follow concepts with detailed drawings and all technical specifications necessary to complete the build of the projects at hand.
• Communicate well within the Product Development team and collaborate with Sales and Marketing.

Qualifications Required: 

• Must have proven knowledge and experience with the Power Sports industry.
• Must be able to create conceptual line art and translate to digital art; free draw.
• Proficient in producing complete tech packs.
• Working knowledge of current trends and OEM products/colors.
• Strong graphic design and color sense.
• Must be skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically in Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Able to multi-task and prioritize workload.
• Must be a team player that takes direction with excellent written & oral communication skills.

 
Additional Qualifications a Plus: 

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Familiar with Motorcycle brands and their apparel fit and function
• Ability to create patterns and color palettes
• Motorcycle rider and enthusiast
