Overview
Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson is looking for a highly motivated and experienced full-time Finance and Insurance (F&I) Manager. As a Finance Manager, you will arrange financing for customers and offer automotive aftermarket products such as extended service contracts, anti-theft and other tools designed to protect the customer’s investment in the vehicle. You will be expected to establish and maintain high quality relationships our finance sources, factory and otherwise. You will also work directly with Sales Managers to secure a reasonable profit from every sale, establish and meet monthly objectives, and check all paperwork for correct title, lien information, taxes, etc. Lastly, you will be expected to verify insurance with customers’ agents, obtain deposits, and verify trade payoffs.
Our Ideal Finance Manager has the following:
•Knowledge and experience in sales and/or finance (or has the capability to learn quickly)
•The ability to greet people and develop strong professional relationships
•Basic computer, email, and internet proficiency
•Knowledge of the Harley-Davidson industry
•Effective communication skills
•Adheres to a standard of professional ethics and is respectful to customers
•Will communicate all problem deals to management immediately
•Maintains a clean and organized space
•Has excellent math and computer acumen
•Maintains good lender relations
•Is knowledgeable in state regulations regarding finance and the Fair Credit Reporting Act
•Maintains confidentiality of customer information
•Maintains current inventory log and makes recommendations to management
•Receipts deposits immediately
•Takes on other tasks as assigned
Responsibilities Include:
•Offering vehicle financing and insurance to customers and providing them with a thorough explanation of aftermarket products and extended warranties and a complete explanation of manufacturer and dealership service procedures and policies.
•Seeking new lending institutions and maintaining good working relationships to secure competitive interest rates and financing programs.
•Processing financing and leasing deals accurately and securing approval through financial sources to secure approval and through the proper federal, state, and corporate channels.
•Understanding and complying with federal, state, and local regulations that affect the new and used vehicle and finance departments.
•Creating and maintaining a program with the sales department that will ensure all new sales are referred to the F&I department.
•Training and providing the sales team with information on finance and lease programs, and the benefits of the dealership’s financing and extended service programs.
