Overview
Sherco USA is a San Antonio based major off road motorcycle importer currently experiencing rapid growth.
Sherco USA is looking for an effective Warehouse Manager to direct receiving, warehousing, distribution operations, and logistics management. This position will have true ownership of the warehouse and logistics operations by overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and dispatch of off-road motorcycles, electronic bicycles and associated parts orders.
Ultimately, you should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.
Responsibilities
Manage logistic planning and schedules for international imports as well as domestic delivery nationwide
Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
Organize and maintain proper filings and paperwork for various responsibilities including EPA, DOT, Declarations, International shipping documents and tracking, etc.
Develop and enforce warehouse safety standards
Requirements
5+ years of relevant work experience in warehouse management and logistics
Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Logistics competency
Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills and positive attitude
Ability to operate a forklift safely and effectively
Computer literacy is necessary for this position
Available to work extended hours and weekends (when needed)

About Sherco USA
As we introduce the new 2020 models of Sherco motorcycles, we also want to introduce our new organization, Sherco USA. We are the exclusive distributor of Sherco off-road motorcycles in the United States. Sherco USA was originally formed in 1999 to distribute only Sherco/Bultaco trials motorcycles. We built an organization focused on trials, which included distributing and supporting all models. We eventually grew into being the largest distributor of trials motorcycles, parts and accessories in the United States. With Sherco USA now adding the very popular Sherco Enduro line to our offerings, consumers will have a one-stop shop to everything OEM Sherco.
Sherco got its start 21 years ago in 1998 in Nimes, France. Early success was found when Graham Jarvis had won the Scottish Six Days Trial. The brand went from relative obscurity to a must have. In the early 2000's, Sherco entered the enduro market. In 2008, Jarvis then won the famous Romaniacs Enduro onboard a Sherco.
Fast forward to 2019. The Sherco range consists of nearly 20 different vehicles. The trials range consists of eight models with displacements from 125 to 300 cubic centimeters and are all equipped with 2-stroke motors. The enduro category consists of twelve 4-stroke models with displacement of 250 to 510 cubic centimeters, and eight 2-stroke models with displacement of 125 to 300 cubic centimeters. The United States market is also the only market to receive their Cross Country model which is set up for Western United States style trail riding.
