Sales Manager –
St. Paul Harley-Davidson®
 
 
The continued growth of St. Paul Harley-Davidson® demands that we hire an ambitious Sales Manager at its St. Paul, MN dealership. The successful candidate will need to be a strong closer. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, leadership and the ability to build a strong sales team.
 
Key Results Areas:

  • Motorcycle Sales Department Operations, Productivity, New and Pre-Owned Unit Volume, Trades
  • Finance and Insurance Management
  • Customer Service and Retention
  • Employee Training and Development

 
Duties:

  • Work with General Manager to develop aggressive but realistic monthly and annual goals and objectives for the sales and F&I team
  • Train sales and F&I managers to actively strive for and exceed monthly sales goals while maximizing profitability
  • Desking and closing deals, overcoming customer objections while providing an excellent purchase experience.
  • Work closely with team to ensure proper selling methods, identify training needs, and motivate individual and group performance
  • Actively participate in the selling and closing process and ensure that all customers are treated with respect and positivity; any complaints are handled reasonably and within company policy
  • Maintain accurate inventory control system for new and pre-owned vehicles to ensure proper turn ratios
  • Manage and monitor the CRM system to ensure all leads are logged and actively followed up with
  • Set goals and develop objectives for increasing market share within our DAT
  • Recruit, interview, and hire new team members and then effectively train, evaluate, coach, and set individual sales goals
  • Manage the reconditioning process for trades
  • Build relationships with wholesalers to have an outlet for trades not needed
  • Create team schedules to ensure proper floor coverage at all times as well as sufficient time for prospecting, follow up and appointment calls and customer logging

 Requirements:

  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and confident
  • Conduct business under the guidance of our Mission Statement while ensuring that sales processes and procedures are followed
  • Work 50-60 hours/week in-season and 40-50 hours/week off-season
  • Computer literate and able to become proficient with all software required for the position
  • Be an example to the sales team for productivity, energy, ethics and professionalism

 
Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years high volume automotive or motorcycle sales experience with a strong preference for Harley-Davidson® dealership experience
  • Able to define individual team member coaching needs and establish proper ways to bring them to their full potential
  • Must have a valid motorcycle endorsement
