Sales Manager – Full Time 40 hrs.

Elk Grove Power Sports in Elk Grove, CA currently has an outstanding career opportunity for a highly motivated team player as a sales manager. As a Sales Manager you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of motorcycle sales associates. The appropriate candidate will have a proven track record of obtaining and exceeding sales goals in an automotive or motorcycle environment. They must provide training and manage conflicts, while showing good judgment, empathy and a fiduciary responsibility.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for obtaining profitable results through the sales team by developing the team through motivation, counselling, skills development, and product knowledge development.
-Responsible for managing the sales team and meeting agreed targets.
-Establish and adjust pricing by monitoring costs, competition, supply, demand, and dealership profit and return.
-Build and maintain full knowledge of all Elk Grove Power Sports product lines such as Can-Am, Aprilia, Piaggio, Vespa, Triumph, Moto Guzzi, and MV Agusta.
-Ensure that PDI’s, showroom set ups, demos, purchased inventory, or damaged inventory is coordinated the with service department.
-Implement and follow up on all factory sales programs. Inform advertising and website administrators of any changes to finance rates and other incentives to coordinate with all store advertising.
-Ensure that daily department close-out procedures are completed.
-Research, discuss, and implement new methods of marketing the dealership.
-Coordinate with website administrator to update new and used units on website.
-Ensure that all inventory displays are clean, safe, attractive, and all inventory is properly labeled.
-Work with parts and accessories department to maintain accessory inventory levels necessary for sale with units.
-Ensure adequate supply of current product literature is available and on display.
-Ensure sales team follows all established procedures from the beginning to end of implemented sales process.
-Support sales team in the building of strong, long-term customer relationships.
-Ensure sales staff are following up with customer leads and sales in a timely fashion.
-Instruct sales team on proper sales techniques and communication.
-Provide training and ensure sales staff is updated and educated on all product knowledge.
-Develop specific goals and objectives for department and sales persons within it.
-Resolve sales staff disputes or problems. Represent staff interests and concerns to management.
-Provide regular feedback to staff on performance. Conduct written performance evaluations with staff on timely bases.
-Conduct sales staff meetings weekly to maintain proper communication in the department, creating effective channels of staff feedback. Attend other department meetings if needed.
-Maintain morale and good working environment in the department.
-Review industry publications to stay current with latest products and merchandising techniques.
 
Requirements:
-Prior sales manager experience
-Basic math skills
-Able to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment
-Positive attitude
-Clean driving record, M1 endorsement highly recommended.
