Overview
Performance Machine, LLC is the leading manufacturer of aftermarket brakes, wheels and components in the motorcycle industry. We are looking for a Product Designer to join our team!
Responsibilities:
- Execute ideation and visualization (2D sketches & form development) of product designs
- Project manage accessory development (lighting, headlight grills, mirrors, fairings)
- Create 3D models and 2D drawings using Solidworks for final product release
- Manage vendor or sister company to detail design and prepare product for production
- Market study for relevant design and product trends
- ECN change management to launch products cross functionally
- Prepare launch and gate reports for management
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors in product, transportation, industrial design, or equivalent
- 2-4 years in product design and/or product development in the transportation industry
- 2D rendering (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Mac Sketch, or Keyshot)
- 3D modeling parametric design & 2D drawings (preferably Solidworks
- Familiarity with MS Project, Wrike, or other project timing software
- The ability to maintain timelines and meet due dates
- Interest in motorsports
- Strong oral and written skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience optimizing designs for manufacturability
- Experience in 3D scanning
- Proficiency 3D rendering (Alias, Rhino)
- Hand fabrication experience (welding, tube bending, grinding, foam carving)
- Interest and experience in the motorcycle industry
- Motorcycle License
