Overview
As Parts Manager, you will be directly responsible for the success of the Parts Department, including managing employees, and maintaining an accurate inventory.
Accomplish objectives through the use of proper ordering, receiving and inventory control.
Train department employees on proper procedures and delegate activities as needed.
Work directly with the Service Department to make sure all parts are in stock, or ordered in a timely manner to accommodate scheduled repair appointments.
Take regular inventory of parts on hand.
Maintain proper follow-up with all part recalls and warranties.
Process part returns to vendors as needed, and per guidelines.
Forecast goals and objectives for the department.
Customer service skills, knowledge of motorcycle parts and apparel are a must.
Maintain constant vigilance of part backorders and regularly go though customer orders to ensure follow-up.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are needed.
