Job Responsibility:

To perform excellent customer experience in the service department, while performing multiple tasks to ensure customers full satisfaction of their machine.

 

Position Reports To:

Service Manager

 

Daily Activities and Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers as they enter the motorcycle repair/service department.

• Acknowledge the issue they may be having or the maintenance they have scheduled. Confirm with the customer what services will be done and when they should expect to pick up their machine.

• Perform a full walk around of motorcycle/atv with customer before they leave. Point out areas you suggest should be looked into and how you would be able to help them with any issues you may see.

• Collect all information from bike: VIN, Miles, Lic Number, Key

• Write up RO and enter all information

• Run VIN for any open recalls

• Request parts from parts department

• Communicate with parts department and technicians regarding parts order status, parts delivery, if customer is waiting or dropping off.

• Follow up with RO when parts are sold or special ordered.

• Communicate with technician when machine needs to be completed.

• Double check technicians work to ensure all work has been performed.

• Call customer when all services are performed and schedule pick up time.

• Collect notes from technicians and customers and close out RO.

• Answer phones, Greet customer and thank for their call.

• Help customer with their needs and work to understand exactly what the customer is looking to achieve.

• ASK and SET appointment with each customer by finding a date and time that will work and schedule in the schedule book

• Follow up with when there appointment is due, Follow up with customer if they may miss there appointment and work to reschedule.

• Contact customers and update on the status of their service

• Contact manufacturers about warranty issues

• Contact new sales customers and explain importance of servicing their machines.

• Shop cleaning and trash disposal

• Pushing and cleaning of bikes

• Testing and monitoring batteries

• Pick up and deliver customers bikes as needed

• Parts look up and basic knowledge

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
