Overview

Introduction:
We are looking for a hands-on technician to support the development of motorcycle and UTV/ATV front and rear suspension components during the physical development phase of new products. Strong mechanic and vehicle testing experience are critical to the success of this position. This is a great opportunity to work for an exciting product focused powersports company.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Fork and shock laboratory strength and durability testing (component and assembly)
  • On-vehicle ride and handling tune development (subjective and objective)
  • On-vehicle data acquisition to validate compliance to technical targets
  • Fitment work on application projects to determine appropriate components
  • Detailed benchmarking and documentation of competitor products
  • Creating detailed test reports
  • Organization, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance of engineering laboratory area
  • Manage motorcycle fleet including maintenance

 
Required Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of motorcycle mechanic experience
  • 2-4 years running lab test procedures and creating reports
  • 5-10 years of motorcycle riding experience
  • Motorcycle mechanics diploma or equivalent
  • Suspension OE / aftermarket training / seminars
  • Motorcycle license

 
Desirable Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of race team suspension technician experience
  • Experience running either MTS/Roehrig/similar shock absorber dynos
  • 2D drawing revisions and experience processing engineering change notices

  • The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection is required.
  • Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional manufacturing equipment as found in a typical manufacturing environment.
