The Motorcycle Company is currently looking for a highly motivated, aggressive; take-charge Director of Retail Sales. This is your opportunity to join one of the most dynamic and fastest growing Harley-Davidson dealer groups in the USA.
 
The Motorcycle Company currently manages:

  • Rawhide Harley-Davidson in KS
  • Avalanche Harley-Davidson in CO
  • High Octane Harley-Davidson in MA
  • Riverside Harley-Davidson in CA
  • Huntington Beach Harley-Davidson in CA
  • Surf City Harley-Davidson

The Director will oversee and manage the operation of the Retail and Merchandise Departments of 6 dealerships across the country.  Responsible for profit and loss, daily operations, planning, development of management team, and implementation of marketing plans for both short-term and long-term growth.  Has direct responsibility for managing and controlling company assets, as well as managing and developing managers for future growth.

Key Result Areas:

  • Premium Customer Experience and customer/employee retention
  • Merchandise presentation on the sales floor
  • Plan, implement and regulate promotions in all locations
  • Effectively utilize computer systems to control inventory and reporting
  • Communicate and plan with Ownership/General Manager to arrive at daily/monthly sales goals
  • Increase gross and net profit for all the Motorclothes Departments

 
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
 

  • Hiring, training, motivating, counseling and monitoring the performance of Retail Managers
  • Ensure the execution of current sales process to deliver a premium customer experience
  • Interpret reporting and manage all retail departments by the numbers
  • Weekly meetings with Managers to review individual and department goals
  • Maintain inventory turns at industry benchmarks
  • Ensure mark down strategy to keep OBS at industry benchmarks
  • Oversight of ordering over $7M of inventory annually
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts that support annual sales goals and cost control

 
Qualifications & Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of retail multi-unit purchasing experience
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to develop a team in multiple locations
  • Prior management experience in retail apparel/clothing
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate/develop managers and sales associates
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including Saturdays, Holidays, and evenings
  • Have track record of multi-unit sales performance
