We have a fully developed Tech program that will further your skills and pave the path for you to become a master tech. Most dealerships throw new technicians into a hostile environment with no guidance and expect them to grow. We want all of our technicians set up to win and achieve greatness.
Baton Rouge Harley-Davidson has 6 Master Technicians working for our store. All of our seasoned technicians participate in our training program, and help our new technicians grow into season veterans. We have a wealth of over 150 years of Harley-Davidson knowledge all in one store.
Below is an outline of our training program:
MMI Graduate Harley-Davidson Technician Program
-during training we pay an extremely high hourly amount (this allows you to observe and learn from the master tech’s)
-training pay last at least 3-6 months to allow time for proper development
-several 1-on-1 training sessions per week with our Service Manager
-several 1-on-1 training sessions with one of our Master Technicians
-one of our Master Technicians is assigned to you as your mentor/thunder buddy, which means this Master Technician is personally responsible for your growth & success as a Technician.
-guidance through completing HDU training
-guidance through completing PHD training
-being a part of the team (all of our technicians hang out together and are all best friends)

In 2012, Robert Dodson fulfilled a lifelong dream when he became the owner of Baton Rouge Harley-Davidson® and Hammond Harley-Davidson®. With a vision of creating two of the nations "best-in-class" Harley-Davidson® dealerships, Robert is a hands-on owner who you will find on-site at either location. Robert is a motorcycle enthusiast who sat on the seat of his first motorcycle at the age of six and is still riding today (2010 Street Glide is his baby, 22523 miles, and counting!). Robert got his start in the motorcycle industry over 25 years ago as a sales associate and was instrumental in growing several dealerships in the Deep South the Midwest. With a belief in connecting with and giving back to the community, Robert looks forward to getting involved in local events and welcoming every customer as a lifelong friend!
