Position Responsibilities and Objectives:
Work in an internationally growing company with a dedicated team in partnership with the R&D Manager. The intention is to invent, develop and produce innovative new products as a cost competitive American manufacture. Create and improve our products and manufacturing processes that ensure our products meet Pro Moto Billet quality standards. Minimize lead times and costs through efficient machine tool utilization, cutting tool use, and work flow. Communicate with the marketing department to investigate new product and market opportunities.

Education/Experience:
4 Year College Degree (preferred) or equivalent
4 years of combined experience in machining and CAM programming
Experienced with Solidworks and/or other CAD/CAM systems

Skills:
1. Excellent communication skills, both orally and written
2. Excellent machine tool knowledge
3. Familiar with CAM software
4. Familiar with Haas and Fanuc controls
5. Excellent problem solving skills
6. Familiar with Lean Principles
7. Good project management abilities
8. Familiarity with all Microsoft office applications
9. Full working knowledge of inspection and tolerance techniques
10. The ability to setup and run CNC machines

Primary Functional Outline:

• Develop manufacturing process for new Pro Moto Billet manufactured parts
• Design work holding that minimizes labor to use and setup, and eliminates loading errors
• Program CNC machines to efficiently manufacture our products
  • Vertical mills, horizontal mills, lathes, live tooling lathes
• Provide manufacturing expertise to assist Development Engineers in design for manufacture
• Document processes and procedures as required by the Pro Moto Billet Quality Management System
• Support R&D prototyping needs
• Work with Production to:
  • Develop and refine processes and procedures to increase productivity, improve quality and reliability of processes.
  • Maximize responsible use of resources.
  • Consider a safe and ergonomic environment.
• Support Quality Department to establish inspection procedures and assure processes are reliably producing repeatable quality.
• Configure machine tools to efficiently make designated part families

Secondary Functional Outline:

• Collaborate with marketing and R&D to design, develop, and test new products based on advancements in technology and customer feedback
• Redesign existing products to increase manufacturability and quality while decreasinglead times and costs
• Test fit our products to new models as they come out and track all necessary fitment information, and redesign products to fit new models if necessary
• Write technical instructions for our products

Communication Interfaces:
This position reports directly to the R&D Manager and requires significant interaction between R&D, Manufacturing and Marketing.
