A/B Powersports Service Technician

Overview

Salary Range: $30-$35/Hour

Iron City Polaris is seeking a qualified, motivated B-Tech Service Technician to join our growing team. This role is critical in delivering expert-level diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of Polaris off-road vehicles, including RZR, Ranger, General, and Sportsman models.

The ideal candidate is a certified or experienced Polaris B-Level Technician (or equivalent) who is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and passionate about powersports performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Polaris Vehicle Diagnostics & Repair

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Polaris ATVs, UTVs, and other off-road vehicles.
• Troubleshoot issues using Polaris Digital Wrench and other diagnostic tools.
• Service and repair key systems including engines, suspensions, drivetrains, fuel systems, and electrical systems.
• Install and calibrate accessories and technology systems.
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) to ensure vehicles are trail-ready.

Parts & Shop Workflow

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following dealership procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
• Accurately document repairs, service logs, and parts usage in the dealership system.

Communication & Customer Service

• Provide service recommendations and repair updates to Service Writers and customers as needed.
• Maintain professionalism and respectful communication with co-workers and customers.
• Work closely with the Service Manager to prioritize repair tickets and meet deadlines.

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Able to lift up to 65 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to pass a drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience working on Polaris vehicles or other powersports equipment.
• Familiarity with Polaris Digital Wrench software.
• Completion of Polaris factory training or certification (a plus, but not required).
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Adaptable, ethical, and team-oriented.
