Job Duties
Oversee day-to-day operations, assigning weekly performance goals and ensuring completion, while accomplishing your own goals.
Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees to achieve customer service, sales, profitability, market share, and business plan objectives. Complete regular performance evaluations.
Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans.
Delegate responsibilities to the best employees to perform them while enforcing all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values.
Resolve internal staff conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of those involved.
Effectively communicate with ownership to review departmental forecasts and ensure consistency with annual projections.
Oversee the monthly financial statement to ensure it is complete, accurate and submitted on time to the management/dealership owners.
Coordinate with the business/administrative office to ensure that records and analyses are correctly maintained.
Create a good working relationship with lending institutions and manufacturer personnel and maintaining these relationships.
Coordinate regular meetings with the managers of each department to ensure their profitability and efficiency.
Maintain an enthusiastic attitude to build positive employee attitudes and morale.
Oversee and maintain compensation plans for all employees.
Create cost-effective advertising programs and merchandising strategies for the dealership.
Focus on any customer complaints that department managers are unable to rectify and taking the necessary steps to successfully resolve these complaints
Skills and Qualifications
At least five years proven experience managing a dealership.
Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
Above-average communication, collaboration, and delegation skills while interacting with customers, employees, and vendors.
Proven ability to develop and maintain financial plans.
Ability to motivate and lead people, and hold employees accountable.
Strong working knowledge of operational procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of Lightspeed EVO operating system.
Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field.
Previous performance evaluation experience.
Working knowledge of human resources processes.
Strong working knowledge of operational procedures.
