Accounting Manager

Helmet House is the leading U.S. distributor of helmets and apparel in the Motorcycle and Powersports industry. We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our Finance Team.

Our Company was founded in 1969 and has its headquarters and a distribution center in Calabasas Hills, CA along with an eastern distribution point in Southaven, MS. Our digital marketing team is located in Lake Oswego, OR. For decades Helmet House has supplied Powersports Dealers across the U.S. with two of the world’s top helmet brands. Helmet House is the exclusive US supplier for SHOEI Helmets, Sidi boots, Kriega and Fasthouse, while also distributing HJC, Alpinestars, 100%, Molecule, Pinlock, Cardo, Sena, and Quad Lock to motorcycle dealerships in the United States. The Tourmaster, Cortech, and NORU motorcycle apparel brands are manufactured and marketed directly by Helmet House. The premium brands we carry represent our commitment to the motorcycle industry and our dealer partners.

Helmet House is headquartered in beautiful Calabasas Hills, CA, within minutes of Southern California’s world-famous motorcycling / biking & hiking roads and wonderful Malibu beaches.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This full-time in-office Exempt position reports to the CFO, and the core office hours are M-F, 8am-5pm at our Calabasas Hills, CA headquarters.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

·        Supervise Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable

·        Prioritize and manage daily workflow and procedures for accounting/finance operations

·        Work with the CFO to prepare internal Financial Statements

·        Work with CFO and various department heads to create annual financial plans

·        Meet as needed with various departments to create and track  monthly/yearly budgets

·        Assist CFO managing the company’s cash flow forecasting and impact on the financials

·        Oversee State Sales Tax returns filing procedure

·        Lead annual onsite Bank audit

·        Manage Letter of Credits, documentary collections and wires/ACH

·        Manage Bank Reconciliation, monthly journal entries and Month-end closing procedures

·        Maintain and track Capital Expenditures/Fixed assets and produce regular reporting

REQUIREMENTS and QUALIFICATIONS
·        Experience as an Accounting Manager

·        Thorough understanding of transactions throughout the General ledger up to the Financials Statement

· In-depth experience with Banking instruments including Letter of Credits, documentary collections and wires/ACH

·        Thorough understanding of accounting principles/GAAP and compliance reporting

·        Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance preferred

·        Proficient in Accounting ERP systems

•  Microsoft Business Central Preferred

·        Advanced skills in Excel

·        Ability to motivate and lead a department/team

·        Strong analytical skills as well as attention to detail
