Major Duties and Responsibilities
| Customer Service |
Provide excellent customer service to all of the dealership’s customers.
- Provide prompt and accurate service at cash register.
- Greet customers immediately, in a courteous and friendly manner, including letting a customer know you/someone will be with them shortly if you are already with another customer.
- Handle telephone transactions quickly, and courteously.
- Accept cash, check, gift card & credit card payments for merchandise purchases. Keep cash register accurate at all times.
- Issue gift cards, add VIP-Reward points as appropriate, assist customers in obtaining VIP-Reward point status and notify Accounting Department of any issues.
- Notify customers when special orders or back-ordered items are received.
- Handle customer complaints reasonably, showing empathy and a positive attitude, and demonstrate our commitment to excellent customer service.

| Retail Sales of General Merchandise |
- Possess the ability to work with several customers at one time while maintaining individual customer satisfaction.
- Follow a structured sales process including but not limited to: greeting customers, questioning, demonstrating product, recommending add-ons, asking for a sale, overcoming objections, and customer follow up
- Ability to learn product features, advantages, and benefits and stay current on all new innovations and technologies
- Demonstrate and maintain a high energy, enthusiastic presence on the sales floor
- Point out any sales, specials, or new merchandise to customers.
- Assist General Merchandise Team Leader with attaining retail sales plans in General Merchandise.
- Maintain and update customer e-mail and mailing lists in Talon.
- Attend or use available training sessions to keep current with merchandising & inventory control issues

| Merchandising and Maintenance |
- Assist with set-up, organization, and staging of special events such as Open houses, HOG activities, fashion shows, Sales Dept Poker Runs, etc.
- Create well-organized presentations, which appeal to customers.
- Ensure merchandise displays are stocked, clean, dust free, and appealing to customers.
- Continuously maintain showroom product availability by stocking shelves and displays.

| Inventory Control/Loss Prevention |
- Conduct or participate in periodic cycle/physical inventory of all merchandise (counts, reports etc.)
- Receive and process merchandise from distributors, check merchandise received against purchase invoice, log merchandise into inventory, and prepare product for showroom floor.

| Other Duties |
- Become familiar and efficient with all phases of the computer system(s) required for General Merchandise management (Talon, Internet for work purposes, V-Sept, H-Dnet and others as needed.)

Qualifications & Job Requirements
- Must have ability to get along with broad customer base.
- Schooling or experience in merchandising and retail sales preferred.
- Experience with Point-of-Sale & computerized inventory systems or the ability to quickly learn.

Physical Demands
- Must have the ability to stand and walk the sales floor for most of the day.
- Frequently required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift 50 lb. of merchandise.

Working Conditions
- Majority of work is conducted indoors; however, some outdoor booth sales are conducted periodically during open houses or other events.
