SERVICE WRITER

Position Overview
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and organized Service Writer to join our team. This key front-line role is responsible for creating service repair orders, communicating with customers, coordinating with technicians, and ensuring a seamless service experience. Key Responsibilities
·         Greet customers in a professional and friendly manner

·         Accurately write repair orders and service estimates

·         Communicate with customers about diagnoses, repairs, and timeframes

·         Schedule appointments and manage daily service workflow

·         Coordinate between customers, technicians, and parts department

·         Open and close repair orders with accurate labor and parts entry

·         Submit and track warranty claims with manufacturers (Kawasaki, Honda, Suzuki, Beta, Nautique)

·         Keep customers updated throughout the service process

·         Maintain service records and support shop efficiency

Qualifications
·         Previous experience as a service writer, advisor, or similar role (automotive, marine, or powersports)

·         Basic technical knowledge of powersports vehicles and/or marine systems

·         Excellent communication and customer service skills

·         Computer skills (experience with Lightspeed, DX1, or similar software a plus)

·         Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

·         High school diploma or equivalent

·         Valid driver’s license; motorcycle or boating endorsement a plus

Preferred Traits
·         Familiarity with Kawasaki, Honda, Suzuki, Beta motorcycles/ATVs, or Nautique boats

·         Positive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to multitask

·         Desire to learn and grow within the service department
