DEALER DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR, Sr – MURRIETA, CA
 
KTM North America – a subsidiary of KTM, a global leader in the off-road motorcycle competition segment and developer and producer of street as well as off-road motorcycles – has an exciting opportunity for a DEALER DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR, SR located in MURRIETA, CA.  
 
SUMMARY
 
Under general supervision, the Dealer Development Coordinator, Sr is actively involved with the administration of key department projects as related to developing new dealers in North America (United States and Canada). 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  • Administration of processes related to new dealer and/or change-in-status applications including communications (verbal and written) with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare executive summaries for all dealer agreement activities for management review and approval.
  • Assist District Sales Managers, Dealer Development Specialist, and/or new dealer candidates in application process.
  • Maintain communications with various state motor vehicle agencies.
  • Ensure accuracy, completion, and distributions of all reports and materials needed for departmental needs to conclude dealer addition process.
  • Process all dealer agreement renewals for KTM brand
  • Enforce the company’s map policy.
  • Facilitate dealer compliance in regards to cure/terminations.
  • Coordinates communication efforts (direct mail or other) to market area prospects.Maintains and updates department reports and franchise documentation files.Assists with various department meetings/presentations.
  • Process vendor invoices, action projects, check requests, and purchase orders as needed.
  • Interpret State franchise laws as related to New Dealer acquisitions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Generally requires a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years experience in an administrative role. Experience in automotive/power sports is preferred. High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required. Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Salesforce, and File Maker Pro is preferred. Paralegal or Contract Administration experience is a plus.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:  High School Diploma is required. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in related field preferred.

    Internal:  Various dealer development personnel, District Sales Managers, Regional Sales Managers, Field Service Reps, Legal Department
    External: New dealer prospects and current Dealers (owners, general managers, etc.)
     
    JUDGEMENT/REASONING ABILITY:  Ability to recognize discrepancies and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment, poise and diplomacy.  Requires ability to use judgment and reasoning skills, and determine when issues need to be escalated.

The employee is frequently required to sit; use hands and fingers, bend, stoop and reach with hands and arms.

Able to stand, bend, stoop, twist 20% daily

 
WORK ENVIRONMENT:  The noise in the work environment is usually moderate.  Other factors are:
 

  • Ability to travel if needed.Travel is minimal in this position (approximately 10%).
  • Hectic, fast-paced with multi-level distractions
  • Professional, yet casual office work environment
  • Ability to work extended hours as required
