Overview
We are looking for a motorcycle enthusiast to join our growing service team. The role of Shop Porter will consist of washing, moving and delivering bikes as well as assisting our Service Technicians.
Job Duties include (but are not limited to)
- Wash new and used motorcycles and ensure they are cleaner than when the customer dropped them off
- Assist technicians with keeping the service department clean and organized
- Assist technicians or other dealership personnel, when asked
Qualifications:
- Must have valid, unrestricted car and motorcycle drivers license
- Must have and maintain a clean driving record
- Must have a clean and professional appearance
- Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather
- Must be able to stand on your feet for extended periods of time
- Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work on Saturdays
Physical Demands:
- The noise level in the work environment is periodically loud
- Requires the use of both hands
- Frequently requirement of bending, stooping, crouching and reaching.
- Requires handling of tools and the ability to life at least 50 lbs
- Frequently requires the ability to push and balance a 1000lb motorcycle
Working Conditions:
- Periodically works near moving mechanical parts
- Is potentially exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials or other toxic materials commonly found in vehicle service department
- Occasionally exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles
- Works outside in weather elements
