Position Summary: Shop Foreman
Major Service and Repair

• Perform prompt, dependable, high quality, major vehicle service and repair work for (internal & external) customers.
• Perform major vehicle service work (i.e. engine overhauls, custom fabrications, wreck repairs etc.) and other work which lesser skilled technicians do not perform efficiently.
• Create detailed estimates for complicated repair orders such as insurance claims, wreck repairs, and customizations.

Quality Control
• Assist the service manager with quality control.
• Minimize come backs by inspecting all outgoing work for completeness, thoroughness, safety, and quality.
• Perform service work (or be highly involved with repairs) on all come-backs to ensure ALL problem areas are corrected. Ensure the vehicle is “fixed right” and all customer expectations are met.
• Assist service manager with continual improvement of overall service department proficiency.

Service Department Proficiency
• Review all Technicians work-in-progress to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Consistently assist Technicians when they are having difficulty performing service work.
• Ensure Technicians maintain and improve their productivity and efficiency, by assigning tasks within their realm of competency during busy times and coaching them to improve both knowledge and speed during down times.
• Maintain technical (PHD and other) qualification by completing any necessary training programs assigned to you by the Service Manager.

Qualifications and Job Requirements:
• Leadership Skills
• Master Technician Status in Harley-Davidson Technician Recognition Program.
• Knowledge in all aspects of motorcycle repair.
• Own your own tools to perform service, repair and customization work in accordance with factory specifications.
• Maintain technical qualifications by completing web-based, in-dealership and instructor. led training.
• Team player.
• Self-motivated.
• Great communication skills.
• Detail Oriented.
• Valid driver’s license with motorcycle endorsement and acceptable MVR.
• Drug Free.
• Acceptable background check.
