SERVICE ADVISOR

Southern California Motorcycle BMW in a prime location looking for Service Advisor to join our team.
Job Description:
The Service Advisor is responsible for meeting customers and accommodating customer requests pertaining to repair and/or servicing of their motorcycle. The Service Advisor is a key player in the dealership for generating positive customer relations, through communication and follow-up to customers on status and charges for repairs, and to promote service sales through communication of information to customers on maintenance and repair needs that are identified during the service appointment process.

Job Duties:
-Determine problems by listening to customer’s description of symptoms and clarifying description of problems
-Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers, explain provisions and exclusions
-Develop estimates by pricing materials, supplies, and labor
-Calculate customer’s payment, including deductibles
-Prepares repair orders
-Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle, obtaining customer’s approval of estimates, obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers, answering questions and concerns, updating customer on vehicle status as required
-Follow BAR guidelines
-Up-sell needed maintenance and accessories
-Perform a comprehensive re- delivery check of customer vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and that all items identified from service/repair have been carried out appropriately and on schedule.
-Maintain the Service Bike Inventory Log and current shop schedule appointment book.
-Dispatch all repair orders through the service department.
-Know all warranty procedures and assist the Service Manager in filing these claims as needed.
-Understand and process extended warranties and maintenance contracts from start to finish.

Job Requirements:
-Must have thorough motorcycle mechanical knowledge, as well as great sales, organizational, and people skills.

-BMW, ETK, Lightspeed Evo is a plus.

-Class M driver license

-Clean driving record
