Overview

The Alpinestars Controller is in charge to enforce good financial, accounting and management control practices that ensure strong internal controls system for the company, driving the local finance team in according with the Group Policies and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Able to prepare and monitor budgets and also document reasons of variations with actual results
  • Handle monthly, quarterly, annual closing and Forecasting with the aim to provide a Reporting package following the HQ calendar
  • Prepare break even analysis and KPIs necessary to monitor operations and business integrity
  • Able to provide financial controlling and analytical reporting of financial data
  • Able to develop financial modeling tools and perform sensitivity analysis
  • Prepare Financial Statements (balance sheets, profit/loss statements & Cashflow Statements) with relevant ratios and interpret them according to business activities
  • Dealing with banks for financial arrangement, funds transfers and banking transactions
  • Provide monthly bank reconciliation and daily bank position reports
  • Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
  • Prepare and submit monthly purchasing and operation reports
  • Prepare record of consumption of material, utilization of labor, over heads and utilities in production process against each customer
  • Knowledge of IRS, Sales tax, K-1 and LLC legal requirements and support the company in the tax transfer pricing analysis
  • Perform audit and re-calculation of payroll
  • Prepare and analyze monthly stock movement with ageing analysis
  • Prepare and report on ageing analysis of vendors and customers and keep updated on recovery communications on weekly basis
  • Comply with financial policies and regulations
  • Work with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Financial Modeling and implementing Financial controls
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP
  • Having strong knowledge to LA state tax laws and federal tax laws that includes IRS, Sales tax, K-1 and LLC legal requirements
  • Able to prepare and submit tax returns
  • Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures
  • Maintain accurate records, including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices
  • Maintain excellent relationships with third parties (banks, CPA, Auditors and other outside partners, like key accounts, vendors, insurance, etc.)
  • Drive the Company in the IT tools and instrument implementation

Requirements

  • Minimum experience 3+ years as Controller
  • Experience in Apparel industry preferred, Manufacturing a PLUS
  • Associate degree and IFRS understanding preferred
  • Must be proficient in Full Circle
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Strong attitude in Project management and Team work with a positive impact in the organization
  • Ability to communicate their feedback and provide independent recommendations and can back up their position, and has worked with cross function stakeholders (ideally operations / manufacturing
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and problem solving
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Strong Financial acumen with analytical skills
