Motorcycle Mall in Belleville, NJ is looking for an energetic and upbeat candidate to join the Apparel Team (Parts Dept.). Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interface with customers looking to purchase apparel, riding gear and helmets
  • Provide exceptional customer service to motorcyclists and enthusiasts of our sport
  • Educating customers about the features and benefits of the gear offerings
  • Achieving Parts Dept. goals and objectives daily
  • In a knowledgeable manner, recommend related parts and accessories to upsell more items
  • Notify customers on a regular basis on their special orders and items they are waiting on
  • Assist team members to ensure cleanliness and presentation of the department by cleaning, stocking and organizing
  • Be able to multi-task as it is a high volume dealerships – especially in the summertime months

Customer Service:

  • Greet all customers with a smile when customers walk into the Parts Department
  • Provide excellent customer service to all of the dealership’s customers
  • Greet customers immediately when they walk into the Parts Department in a courteous and friendly manner
  • Develop and share knowledge of all parts and accessories merchandise, parts history, and motorcycle service
  • Must possess the ability to work with several customers at one time while maintaining individual customer satisfactions
  • Handle telephone transactions quickly, and courteously
  • Point out any sales, specials, new merchandise and offer additional product that may compliment the customer purchase
  • Assist customers with determination of parts and accessories requirements and research merchandise in catalogues
  • Accept credit card for merchandise purchases and bring the customer to the cashier’s office to complete cash transactions
  • Handle customer complaints reasonably, showing empathy and a positive attitude, and demonstrate our commitment to excellent customer experience
  • You must call and email customers back quickly and efficiently (if need be)

Clean & Efficient Parts & Accessories Environment:

  • Help to receive and process parts from distributors if business is slow and you can assist the Receiving Associate. You will then have to check merchandise received against purchase invoice, and prepare product for showroom floor
  • Conduct or participate in periodic physical inventory of all merchandise (counts, reports, etc.)
  • Ensure merchandise displays are stocked, clean, and appealing to customers
  • Become familiar and efficient with all phases of the computer system required for P & A management

  • Treat all employees and customers fairly, courteously and with dignity
  • Be prompt and available for flexible scheduling
  • Review and study all new merchandise that comes in, learn as much as you can about all inventory and attend training sessions to keep current with P & A merchandising and inventory control topics as assigned by the Parts Manager
  • Demonstrate a professional approach to customer service
  • Accept direction, follow instructions, and work well with other people

Qualifications & Job Requirements

  • Must have ability to get along with a broad customer base
  • Spanish speaking is recommended but NOT required
  • Knowledge and experience with servicing of motorcycles (specifically the brands we sell), and other motorcycle brands, or the demonstrated ability to quickly learn them
  • Experience with Point-of-Sale & computerized inventory systems or the ability to quickly learn
  • Knowledge of motorcycle front end, suspension, and engine components and the commitment to continually develop knowledge is recommended but NOT required. If not know, you much have the ability and want to learn and understand the key elements of a motorcycle, scooter and powersports products
  • Ability to look up parts and quote prices for parts using proper catalogue for a particular motorcycle
