Overview

Segway Powersports is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Business Development Manager to lead our sales efforts within our inside sales team. As a key member, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing dealer relationships, and ensuring the successful market penetration of Segway Powersports products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Powersports sales, a proven track record of exceeding sales targets, and the ability to inspire and collaborate with a high-performing sales team.

Responsibilities:

Sales Development:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Works with Regional Sales Managers to identify, recruit and onboard new dealers.
  • Conduct dealer sales training sessions including the Segway dealer portal.

Market Expansion:

  • Identify sales obstacles and opportunities. Develop, issue, and track Dealer Development plans within assigned territory.
  • Evaluate market trends and customer needs to adjust sales strategies accordingly.

Dealer Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing dealers and seek opportunities to expand the dealer network.
  • Provide support and training to dealers to enhance their product knowledge and sales capabilities.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Manages assigned active dealer programs.

Performance Analysis:

  • Monitor and analyze sales performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales activities, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Maintains ethical, cooperative relationships consistent with company image and goals.

Product Knowledge:

  • Stay informed about Segway Powersports products, features, and benefits.
  • Conduct regular training sessions with dealers to ensure a deep understanding of the product portfolio.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in Powersports sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership and sales management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned region.
  • Candidate should be centrally located in the region.
