E-Commerce Marketing Specialist/ Social Media Coordinator

Scorpion EXO, a leading brand in the Powersports industry is seeking an E-Commerce Marketing Specialist to help grow their retailer accounts across the US. This position will promote our brand and products as well as help retailers merchandise on multiple platforms. Duties also include adding new items, optimizing listing bullet points, improving product description, keyword SEO, and image optimization.

Although this position will start primarily as an E-Commerce Marketing Specialist, eventually this position will be cross-trained and transition to the primary role as social media marketing coordinator.

The Social Media Marketing role requires the candidate to have experience with customer relationships to effectively work with our customers through our social media platforms.

This position will manage day to day social media messages, comments, and posts along with staying up to date with trending community topics and community interaction. This individual will also help gather, produce, and curate content for our social media efforts. The Social Media Marketing Specialist will also review social media data on an ongoing basis to help drive overall social media, brand, and growth strategy.

Social media specialists should have a solid understanding of how each social media channel works and how to optimize content so that it is engaging on each individual channel. You are responsible for joining relevant conversations on behalf of the brand and “soft selling” the product by providing support to current and prospective customers.

The goal is to gradually increase our social reach and achieve superior customer engagement, website traffic, social traffic and revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap.

The Social Media Marketing Specialist will also assist in other marketing initiatives as needed

 

E-Commerce Marketing Overview

RESPONSIBILITES:

·         Work with Marketing Team to implement E-Commerce marketing strategy to help drive traffic and sales for existing and new products

·         Continually optimize the existing brand store, product pages, and A+ content to drive traffic and sales for existing and new products

·         Collaborate with team members to develop messaging and brand assets compliant with brand guidelines and 3rd party platform standards

·         Improve and refresh the content for existing products by optimizing listings with new bullet points, descriptions, keywords, titles, and images

·         Work closely with internal departments – sales, design, marketing, purchasing, customer service

·         Analyze and report performance metrics and marketing performance to allocate time toward best-performing items

REQUIRED:

·         Knowledge in Seller Central: managing and updating product catalog, performing data analysis

·         Proven e-commerce marketing success track record

·         Basic HTML

·         Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research

·         Ability to create compelling SEO content through text and image

·         Strong communication skills, both oral and written

·         Strong analytical and quantitative skills; able to make data-based decisions

·         Strong copywriting and copy-editing skills

 

PREFERRED:

·         Avid Motorcycle Rider (Willing to test and assist development team with future products)

·         Knowledge in Brand Registry

·         Intermediate Knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Lightroom)

·         Experience with Helium10

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Suite; particularly Word and Excel

·         2+ years of related experience preferred

 

Social Media Marketing Overview

RESPONSIBILITES:

·         Work with other members of the Marketing Team to develop a strong social media strategy to gain awareness. Organic and paid.

·         Assist in the development and management of influencer, ambassador marketing strategy.

·         Connect ambassadors/influencers with brand launches, promotions, and paid initiatives.

·         Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)

·         Work with other members of marketing team to produce social content ideas that are original, relatable, informational and engaging.

·         Write copy and consistently deliver on-brand voice across all social platforms.

·         Collaborate with marketing team to create a social media calendar.

·         Post regularly on the brands main social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook and TikTok)

·         Review analytics and create reports on key metrics.

·         Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments.

·         Attend Major U.S. Motorcycle Events and produce live social media content (occasionally)

 

REQUIRED:

·         Strong awareness of social media trends and motorcycle Industry

·         Experience using Adobe Creative Suite and/or equivalent

·         Strong copywriting and copy-editing skills

·         Ability to travel (roughly 15-20%), some International Travel may be required

·         Willingness to work nights and/or weekends if necessary (occasional)

·         Minimum 2 years of social media content creation experience

PREFFERED:

·         Avid Motorcycle Rider (Willing to test and assist development team with future products)

·         Photography, Video and design skills for social media content

·         2+ years’ experience in influencer marketing

·         History of creating content that performed well with proven success

·         An eye for content that will drive community engagement

·         3+ years of related experience preferred

The position is full-time, and is located in our office in Santa Fe Springs, California. Remote or Hybrid Employment will be considered for the right candidate.

 

Salary is commensurate with experience.
