Summary:

The Parts Sales Manager is responsible for leading and training our Parts sales staff, overseeing the daily sales activities of the team, and frequently creating new ways to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly Parts sales goals set by upper management. The Parts Sales Manager should be fully capable of both traditional, as well as ever-changing powersports and automotive sales processes. Parts works closely with Service, so the Parts Manager should be able to multitask efficiently and be available to both the Parts staff and the Service staff when needed.

Job Description:

Set up and maintain a smooth running, efficient P&A department
Ensure P&A personnel are well-trained
Ensure the needs of the Service department are being met
Review stock orders to ensure a fast-moving balanced inventory of Parts & Accessories
Maintain sufficient quantities of parts inventory to support demand
Ensure employees keep a clean and orderly department
Generate and review inventory reports
Work with Regional Parts Director to ensure all goals are met efficiently
Establish a customer communication timeline and follow it so customers are informed of the status of their items including specialty and backordered items
Actively assist with merchandising and inventory activities
Keep staff informed of all upcoming events, promotions, policy changes, etc. to ensure they stay up to date and can perform their jobs efficiently
Establish departmental work schedule, balancing the workload of the employees
Establish job assignments for all P&A employees within their skill level
Manage employee performance (evaluate and council)
Provide training for all P&A employees (seminars, workshops, P&A sales, inventory management, etc.)
Oversee Parts to Service Liaison position
Employ sound management practices to ensure parts department contributes acceptable levels of gross and net profit

Qualifications & Requirements:

Strong sales and sales management stills
Knowledge and experience of Harley-Davidson motorcycles preferred
Analytical thinking
Superior communication skills
Experience with retail sales and inventory management
