Salary Range: 85k+

Primary Job Functions:

This position is responsible for developing, creating, and implanting strategic marketing/sales plans to communicate our value to current and prospective members. This position secures new business and increases revenue by connecting with both current members and prospects in the motorcycle/Powersports industry via phone calls, email, face-to-face meetings and other relationship building methods. The Membership manager recognizes new opportunities to create revenue streams to the MIC through sponsors/branding opportunities related to MIC member assets.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

·       Identify and actively recruit new MIC members through marketing campaigns, new initiatives and personal communication

·       With input from the leadership team, develop strategic membership goals for the department.

·       Promote positive relationship building and excellent customer service with prospects and members

·       Understand the various reports the MIC offers members and understand how those reports affect member business

·       Work with the MIC Research team to help potential members identify what reports will be most useful to their business

·       Maintain a high level (110%) of renewals by responding to individual member needs, requests and reeducating the benefits of MIC membership

·       Develop and execute marketing and communications initiatives to:

o   Provide member updates on current MIC initiatives and activities

o   Retain current and other OEM, aftermarket and dealer members

o   Grow other OEM, aftermarket and dealer membership categories

·       Using our survey and research results, understand our customer demographics and use this information to educate current and prospective members on value of MIC membership.

·       Assist in planning and execution of the Annual Member Meeting and other membership meetings/events

·       Serve as staff liaison to the Aftermarket Committee and Dealer Advisory Committee

·       Promote and maintain the MIC BankCard Program

·       Coordinate member-benefit activations at MIC produced events (AIMExpo, Capitol Hill Fly-in’s, Symposiums)

·       Manage and update the MIC public and members only websites and ensure a positive member experience on MIC digital platforms

·       Use NetSuite CRM for recordkeeping of every sales conversation to be documented and all information to be completed including recording call history, open opportunity as appropriate, record estimated close date, scheduling activities, proper call results (connected, left message, etc.), update contact information, obtain email address, obtain exhibitor and prospect opt-ins, etc.

·       Communicating relevant information upwards and downwards to all team members

·       Travel to visit members/prospective members and attend meetings/events.

 

 

Required Education/Experience/Credentials:

 

·       5-7 years of proven progressive sales experience; 2 years of management experience

·       Excellent written and verbal communications skills as well as analytical and interpersonal skills

·       Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively to prioritize, plan, and carry out multiple projects simultaneously under deadlines

·       Proficient with CRM software

·       Ability to conduct oneself professionally at all times

·       Excellent ability to create, build and maintain professional business relationships with contacts

·       Ability to travel when necessary (less than 20%)

·       Knowledge of and passion for the Powersports industry preferred.

The Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) is the national trade association representing manufacturers and distributors of motorcycles, scooters, motorcycle/ATV/ROV parts and accessories, and members of allied trades such as insurance, finance, and investment firms, media companies, and consultants. MIC Events is primarily responsible for producing the American International Motorcycle Expo.
