Job Description:
The successful General Manager will interact in the most professional manner possible with both customers and fellow employees. This position will require organization, many of the day to day responsibilities of the General Manager are time sensitive. Employee development will be a priority. The General Manager ensures that the dealership managers meet its new and used unit sales, parts, and service objectives on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis. They will accomplish these objectives through planning, training, coaching, organizing, coordinating, and measuring the activities of the Store Departments.

· Meet departmental goals as set by the Chief Operating Officer.

· Foster an atmosphere of harmony and teamwork with all departments

· Host manager’s and expect employee meetings as required

· The General Manager must understand federal, state, and local regulations that affect unit sales and ensure that the dealership is in compliance with those laws at all times, tax and fee laws related to running parts and service department.

· Be familiar with all OEM sales, parts, service programs and ensure that all employees are aware of and understand them as well

· Set department sales, parts, and service objectives

· Guide salespeople in setting their objectives on a short and long range basis

· The General Manager must be able to work with underperforming managers/employees to help them improve their numbers and meet objectives

· Conduct weekly training meetings following a written agenda to ensure that are knowledgeable about the programs and products offered, and dealership policies and procedures are understood and followed

· Ensure all paperwork from the departments are properly filled out and handled in a timely manner

· Help managers train on closing deals when necessary

· Maintain standards for the delivery of units to customers

· Assist Marketing in the development and execution of advertising campaigns and other promotions

· Respond to customer issues and complaints immediately

Qualifications:
Experience within departments inside the dealership, including management experience. Previous General Manager experience preferred.
3+ years experience at a multi-line dealership preferred
Salary is commission and experience based

8 hour shift with do what it takes attitude
Monday to Friday
Weekend availability
