Cycle Smart NJ is New Jersey’s newest quality pre-owned motorcycle shop. With over 200 bikes from many well know manufactures such as Harley-Davidson, Indian, Honda, Kawasaki and many more! Cycle Smart NJ is a branch of the Hannum’s family franchise.

We are looking to hire a motorcycle technician who has experience with some of the brands mentioned above. The motorcycle technician would be responsible for basic repairs and customizations done to our customers bike in a timely manner. A requirement for this position is our techs need to have a valid motorcycle license so they can start up and test ride customers bike when repairs are complete. Our techs need to have a baseline knowledge of motorcycle repairs.

Our dealership is opened Tuesday through Satruday switch give all our employees time to enjoy some downtime and get some rides in! Service Department Operations
Provide prompt, dependable, high quality, vehicle service to (internal & external) customers.
Complete repair work within the scheduled or allotted time period whenever possible. Continually improve this “efficiency” skill.
Maintain productivity (time spent working on billable jobs) as close to 100% as possible.
After job is finished ensure proper completion and filing of paperwork.
Keep work areas as clean as possible and assist others with maintaining shop cleanliness.

Treat all employees and customers fairly, courteously, and with dignity.
Model superior customer service behavior for all interactions with customers and employees.
Be prompt and available for flexible scheduling.
Focus on quality.
Qualifications & Job Requirements
Current Motorcycle license.
Service Technicians need both basic and special tools to properly diagnose and service our products. All Service Technicians are required to own their own set of tools.
Must be able to work on ALL motorcycle brands, fuel injected & carbureted engines.

Physical Demands
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Requires the use of both hands.
Frequently required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, handle tools, and lift 50lb. of material.
Frequently requires the ability to balance and push an 800lb. motorcycle.
Working Conditions
Frequently works near moving mechanical parts.
Is potentially exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials or other toxic materials commonly found in a motor vehicle service department.
Occasionally, exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles.

About Hannum's Harley-Davison

In 1954, Tom Hannum Jr., was so passionate about motorcycles that he was able to convince his father, Tom Hannum Sr., to sell his automotive business to purchase a Harley-Davison franchise. So began the Hannum’s Harley-Davidson dynasty, which continues to bring the “Thrill of the Ride” to customers throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New York, and New Jersey! Tom Hannum Jr. was an avid racer and motorcycling enthusiast with the great respect for the American iconic brand, Harley-Davidson. Over the years he passed this passion on to his wife Rita and their two children, Tonda and Tom III. All three are still actively involved in all aspects of the business today. Tom III is the president of Hannum’s Harley-Davidson, Rita is the Vice President, and Tonda is the secretary. Both Tom III and Tonda continue to grow Hannum’s Harley-Davidson by including their families as part of the business structure! Hannum’s Harley-Davidson has been a family-owned and operated business since its first opened its doors on Chester Pike in Crum Lynne in 1954. As the business expanded, the store was relocated to Media, PA in 1959. In 2000, Hannum’s opened their second location in Chadds Ford, PA.  At the start of 2015, Hannum’s started to branch out of the Philadelphia area by purchasing their third and fourth locations in Sellersville, PA and Rahway, NJ. In February of 2018, Hannum’s acquired their fifth location up in Scranton, PA which made them expand further to the northeast corner of PA. Hannum's also owns a location in Mount Laurel Nj called Cyclesmart NJ. This location is our preowned and used powersports store. We recently explained into the Lancaster area by acquiring Lancaster Harley-Davidson.
