Position Summary:

Greenger Powersports is seeking a District Sales Manager to cover our Southeast territory.  The Southeast territory covers the states of Florida, Georgia, and Alabama.  This position will meet company objectives and overall sales revenue targets for his/her designated territory.  The ideal candidate will reside in the central area of the territory.  This candidate will be responsible for the growth and development of Greenger products within an existing dealer network.  This candidate will also be responsible for prospecting new dealers throughout the territory to further develop sales revenue and product representation.  This person is ultimately responsible for the management of Greenger products at the retail level, within the designated territory.  This is a remote position, requiring extensive travel within the territory.  This is a road warrior position, as the candidate will be required to visit dealers throughout the week by way of driving. This is not “work from home” office job.

Essential Functions of Position:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to dealer partners at all times
  • Maintain a consistent weekly/monthly/quarterly sales call and travel schedule
  • Actively follow up with dealer partners through visits, phone calls, emails, text messages, etc.
  • Successfully introduce Greenger products into the market through existing and new dealers
  • Cold call and prospect new dealer opportunities
  • Generate profitable sales orders during dealer visits
  • Introduce Greenger programs to dealer partners, encouraging participation to drive sales
  • Establish and maintain dealer relationships in order to grow sales
  • Continuous education on current and emerging products within the industry
  • Introduce, demonstrate, and train dealer staff on new products
  • Conduct ongoing product training with dealer staff
  • Attend sales meetings and product trainings to continue development of product knowledge
  • Execute sales efforts in professional and ethical manner at all times
  • Maintain a professional/working image in self and work environment, including work vehicle and demo units
  • Complete sales call reports, expense reports, and other required reports in a timely basis
  • Develop and maintain a sales forecast to help analyze market conditions in assigned territory for maximum productivity and sales growth
  • Develop and implement a sales plan to support sales and profitability goals
  • Troubleshoot and coordinate resolutions for customer issues such as parts, warranty, or finance
  • Inform customers of all company policies and procedures
  • Routinely communicate schedule to VP of Sales & Marketing
  • Manage assigned geography performance against agreed targets and budgets; develop quarterly and annual strategic business plan for achieving budgeted sales targets
  • Perform other duties as instructed or required to successfully complete the job

Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.  High school diploma required.
  • Successful track record in sales within the powersports industry
  • Demonstrated clear written and verbal communication including sales presentations
  • Strong proficiency in the use of a personal computer accompanied by a strong aptitude for technical applications
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
  • Experience with dealer software, such as Lightspeed and DX1 preferred
  • Excellent and efficient time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to overcome objections
  • A valid driver’s license and proven safe driving record
  • Ability to drive a sprinter van for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to load and unload motorcycle demo units into and out of a sprinter van.
  • Ability to ride an offroad motorcycle and scooter
  • Ability to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and otherwise transport work-related materials that frequently weigh up to 25 lbs. and that may occasionally weigh more than 25 lbs.

Work Schedule:

  • Must be flexible with schedule
  • Must be available to work occasional off-hours
  • Must be available during standard business hours
  • May be required to work more than 8 hours during a workday
  • Must be available to work occasional weekends for dealer and industry events
