Our dealership is located in the beautiful Northwest!  We are looking for a General Sales Manager who has a proven track record of running a consistently profitable Sales Department. Must be able to train and teach sales personnel to sell the entire family of Indian / Polaris / Victory motorcycles.  Must be enthusiastic, friendly, outgoing, approachable and willing to have fun while working. Must be flexible with schedule and be able to work weekends and some after-hours. Some travel may be required. General Sales Manager must maintain a clean driving record and have a current motorcycle endorsement.


  • Responsible for the overall operations of Dealership
  • Lead sales staff towards outstanding customer experience, strong profitability, and sales growth
  • Manage, implement and track the sales process
  • Provide ongoing training in the sales process as required
  • Develop monthly and annual sales objectives for the dealership in collaboration with the dealership’s General Manager
  • Ensure the Sales department meets or exceeds budgeted revenue and gross profit objectives
  • Analyze and determine the nature and size of the market for motorcycle sales to ensure acceptable capture rates
  • Develop plans and objectives designed to achieve an increase in market share
  • Develop both short and long-range plans and objectives designed to achieve increasing revenue and gross profit across all areas of direct responsibility
  • Maintain records, control and request reports from subordinates, as needed to evaluate performance
  • Suggest changes to operating plans and budgets when necessary and appropriate
  • Recruit, interview and hire team members
  • Review all performance goals to ensure consistency across the Sales department
  • Capable of leading the existing established team and driving them to the next level of goals and performance
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Must have prior Sales Management experience, preferably in the motorcycle industry
  • Must be professional and have a great attitude
  • Must be able to multitask and have an open mind to continually educate yourself in this industry
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to operate a motorcycle and possess a Motorcycle Endorsement
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; BS/BA preferred
  • Ability to provide clear and consistent leadership
  • Five years progressive experience within sales department of a vehicle dealership – preferably Indian, Polaris or Victory motorcycle dealership
  • Knowledge and experience with sales of metric motorcycles a plus
  • Strong computer skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
