Job Requirements: Motorcycle Service Advisor

A valid Texas driver license with M endorsement with clean (insurable) driving record.
1-year+ riding experience. State inspectors license or the ability to get licensed as a state inspector.
Previous background as a service writer.
Detail-oriented with ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
A strong work ethic.
A positive attitude with high integrity
Excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrable customer service skills.

Lightspeed DMS experience a bonus but not required

 

Job Description for Service Advisor

Prepare and process customer requests for service appointments by phone or in person.
Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner on repair orders to provide an accurate record of work performed to satisfy customers’ needs.
Prepare documentation of customer concerns to enable the technician to properly diagnose and service vehicle.
Prioritize required services and be prepared to provide options upon needs/requests
Communicate with customers using phone, chat, text, or email regarding service progress, cost changes if applicable, time service will be finished and any other needed follow up.
Need to know Motorcycles well enough to answer operational questions or additional situational needs that customers might have.
Must be able to ride and move large motorcycles.
Ensure the service department operates efficiently with proper work scheduling and dispatching to technicians.
